How to delete your Steady data

Updated 2026-10-18

Everything Steady stores is on this phone, so deleting it here deletes it from Steady completely. Clear Steady's storage, or uninstall the app. There's no account to close and nothing on a server to ask us to remove. Files you exported or backed up yourself stay where you saved them until you delete them there.

Before you delete: keep a copy if you want one

If you might want your history again, save a backup first: tap Settings, then Save a backup under Your data, and choose a place. You can add it back later with Restore from a backup. See How to export, back up and restore your Steady data.

Delete your data and keep the app

  1. Open your phone's Settings.
  2. Go to Apps, then Steady.
  3. Tap Storage (on some phones, Storage & cache).
  4. Tap Clear storage (on some phones, Clear data) and confirm.

Menu names vary a little between phones. Your streak, history, Steady 28 progress, routines, reminders and settings are gone, and reminders stop. The next time you open Steady, it starts again at Step 1 of 4, as it did the first time.

Delete your data by uninstalling

Uninstall Steady from your phone or from the Play Store. Android deletes Steady's data together with the app. Steady's data is excluded from Android cloud backup, so installing it again doesn't bring the old history back. Only a backup file you saved yourself can.

Files you saved outside Steady

A spreadsheet (CSV), PDF or backup file you saved with Your data in Settings isn't part of Steady's storage. Clearing storage or uninstalling doesn't delete it. To remove it, delete it in the place you saved it, for example your phone's Files app or the storage app you chose.

What you can't delete on its own

Steady has no way to delete a single session or to reset only your streak. Deleting is all or nothing.
