Steady — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-18

Steady is a personal pelvic-floor exercise trainer and diary. Your privacy is built into how the app works.

No account. Steady does not require an account, sign-up, or login. It does not ask for your name, email, or any personal details.

Where your training lives: only on your phone. Your sessions, streak, and any progress you record are stored locally on your phone. Your settings, including your reminder times and any reminder text you write, your reminder choices, any daily goal you set and how your streak is counted, and any routines you save, with the names you give them, are stored on your phone in the same way. Your training history stays on this phone: it is excluded from Android cloud backup. Your training is never uploaded. There is no Steady server that receives your data. If you turn on the optional Lock Steady, your phone's own fingerprint, face or screen lock checks that it's you; Steady never sees or stores your fingerprint, face, PIN or password.

Copies you make. In Settings, under Your data, you can export your sessions as a spreadsheet (CSV) or a PDF, or save a backup file with your sessions and your routines, including the names you gave them. Steady writes each file only to the place you choose in your phone's own file picker, asks for no permission, and does not upload it. If you choose an online storage service, that service keeps the file under its own terms. When you restore a backup, Steady reads only the file you pick and adds its sessions and routines to the ones on your phone. Steady keeps no record of the files you made or where you put them.

Purchases go through Google Play. If you buy Steady Pro, Google Play handles the payment. We never see your card details. Steady asks Google Play only for prices and whether you own Pro. It keeps a note on your phone of the last answer, so Pro keeps working for up to 7 days when Google Play can't be reached. Google's billing library, which is part of the app, may send Google technical data about purchases and about how the billing library is working. Google's privacy policy applies to that data: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google Play tells us that a purchase was made (order number, product, date, price and country) so we can keep records of our sales and handle refunds. If you start a free trial, Steady keeps a note on your phone of when it ends, worked out from the purchase time Google Play gives it, so it can show the date in Settings and, if you allow notifications, remind you two days before.

Rating Steady. Steady may ask Google Play to show its rating window, at most once every 90 days and once per version. Your rating and any review go to Google Play, not to us, and Steady is not told whether you left one. A review you post is public on Google Play. Steady keeps on your phone only when it last asked and in which version.

No tracking, no ads, no selling data. Steady contains no advertising and no analytics of your training. We do not sell, rent, or share your information.

This website. The Steady website sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts. The demo and the timer on it store nothing. The website's host, Cloudflare, keeps standard request logs that include IP addresses. Links to Google Play take you to Google's site, where Google's privacy policy applies.

What Google Play shows us. Google Play gives us aggregated install statistics and, from users who chose to share usage and diagnostics data with Google, crash reports. These contain no training history.

If you email us. If you write to us, for example to ask for a refund, we receive your email address and what you write (such as your Google Play order number). We use it only to answer you and, for a refund, to find your order in Google Play. We delete your emails if you ask us to.

Deleting your data. Your training history is stored only on your device, so you can remove all of it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. Files you exported or backed up are not part of the app: they stay where you saved them until you delete them there. Your purchases belong to your Google account; you can see and cancel them in Google Play. To have your emails to us deleted, write to the address below.

Children. Steady is intended for adults and is not directed at children.

Changes. If this policy changes, we will update the date above and the version published with the app.
